Hardware System Architect (5203 or 5204) | | Department | Architecture Group/Engineering | | Location | Milpitas, CA | Sonics is looking for a Hardware System Architect to define and validate the architecture of smart, System-on-Chip interconnects used to integrate commodity IPs on the chip. In this position, which offers scope for innovation and growth, you will be working closely with architecture and design teams on Sonics’ IP products. Duties: · To architect and validate Sonics’ IP products, which can be efficiently realized to meet product requirements. · To analyze performance, and study architectural and micro-architectural trade-offs using C++/SystemC models and RTL simulation. · To work with implementation teams to deploy Sonics’ IP products. · Others as assigned. Requirements: - Strong knowledge of computer architecture (CPUs, memory, I/Os, interconnects, and pipelining).
- Basic knowledge in data structures, algorithms, and OS.
- Basic knowledge in RTL, VLSI, process technology and embedded architectures.
- Experience in hardware simulation using RTL and software models.
- Experience in analyzing the performance of computer hardware systems.
- Strong spoken and written communication; good at working in groups; and having the ability to “abstract” and present ideas.
