The enterprise market has some of the most demanding requirements for silicon manufacturers. Systems that provide the state-of-the-art in office automation need the highest-end features to keep office productivity at peak levels. Product such as high-speed multifunction printers, voice over IP phones and gateways, wireless infrastructure—including 802.11n access points and fempto cells—push silicon performance to the limit.

Sonics offers on-chip connectivity solutions that provide the highest performance and flexibility needed to meet the diverse requirements of the enterprise market. Multi-function printers for example, have to manage high-quality image data, network interfaces and high speed control.

SonicsMX’ high-speed on-chip network provides SoC designers with the optimal connectivity needed for CPUs, as well as multiple processing engines—including graphics and image processing combined with data flow service— that keep the memory fully utilized. When SonicsS3220 is added to a chip, it provides a serial network that spans long distances of the SoC so that multiple peripherals can be connected to an on-chip network. The combination of these two Sonics products provides the network topologies that allow for the highest performance network that is gate count-efficient.

Enterprise wired and wireless networks also have a range of requirements that include real-time signal processing, security and network connectivity.
