A choice of medical plans from Anthem Blue Cross PPO, Anthem Blue Cross HMO, and Kaiser Permanente – California. Sonics, Inc. pays 100% of the medical premiums for employees, and 75% of the premiums for dependents (pre-tax).

Employee Life Insurance, LTD, STD, and AD&D
Through Anthem Blue Cross, Employee Life benefit is $50,000. AD&D insurance pays a benefit if your death is caused by an accident. You may also receive a portion of this benefit if an accident results in the loss of sight or limb.
Option to purchase increments of $10,000 additional, as voluntary supplement insurance is subject to plan maximums and approval.
Short Term Disability
Through Anthem Blue Cross, Short Term Disability Insurance provides 60% monthly to a weekly benefit maximum of $2,500/wk. Benefits are payable after the 8th day for injury or accident, or illness. Benefit duration is 12 weeks.
Long Term Disability
Through Anthem Blue Cross, Long Term Disability Insurance provides 67% of monthly base salary; up to a maximum benefit of $10,000/mo. Benefits are payable after 90 days of disability. Benefits are payable as long as you remain disabled up to age 65.
Flexible Spending Account
ADP Flex Direct. Pre-tax dollars may be used for eligible health care and dependent/elder care expenses.

401(k) Plan (Pre-tax) & Roth (Post-tax) Calendar Year
Eligibility: First day of the month following date of hire. Salary deferral: IRS maximum of $16,500 for 2009 and participants who reach age 50 by the last day of the plan year can defer $22,000 for 2009.

Paid Holidays
Sonics Inc., has 8 paid holidays per year. An additional 2 floating holidays to use at your discretion, within the calendar year.
Patent Incentive Bonus Program
As an Intellectual Property company, Sonics considers its patent portfolio and the inventions of its employees very critical to the Company’s future success. The purpose of this reward program is to provide incentive for Sonics employees and consultants to prepare and file patent applications on behalf of the Company on a timely basis. This policy also establishes a formal financial reward mechanism and details the timing of such rewards.
